"This painting, commissioned by John Canavan for the Divine Mercy calendar in 2015, was an opportunity to do something a little different relating to St Faustina’s mystical experiences recorded in her spiritual diary. On this occasion it would be to illustrate one of the many appearances of Our Blessed Mother that she had, and in particular one in which Our Lady came under the title of “Mary Mother of God of Priests”."  Tommy Canning
